오는 7월 3일, 핸들위드케어에서 한국 도예의 큰 축을 이루는 법고창신 20인 작가의 그룹전을 엽니다. 지난 15여 년간 전통의 유산 속에서 현대적인 공예의 쓰임을 고민하며 교류해 온 법고창신. 20인의 작가가 이번 전시에서 함께 펼쳐 보이는 풍경은 '술상'입니다. 우리 도자 역사에서 주기(酒器)는 언제나 삶과 예술이 만나는 중요한 매개였습니다. 고려청자의 정교한 주전자부터 조선 분청의 소탈한 술병에 이르기까지, 술을 나누는 풍류는 늘 당대 최고의 미감을 지닌 좋은 그릇을 불러왔지요. 격식을 갖춘 자리에서도, 허물없이 둘러앉아 웃음꽃을 피우던 자리에서도 술상은 늘 그날의 분위기를 담아내는 넉넉한 그릇이 되어주었습니다. 이번 전시에서는 분청을 비롯해 백자, 청자, 흑자, 무유 토기 등 20인의 도예가가 저마다 상상하는 술상의 풍경을 선보입니다. 서로 다른 흙과 기법, 시선으로 빚어낸 작업이 한자리에 모였을 때, 그 자리가 전시를 찾는 분들께도 흥겨운 술상이 되기를 바랍니다. 참여 작가강영준, 김경남, 김경수, 김규태, 김상만, 김진규, 박성극, 박성욱, 우시형, 윤호준, 이동식, 이송암, 이은범, 이정용, 이정현, 이창화, 정영유, 정재효, 정현우, 허상욱 with- 전시기획: 핸들위드케어- 포스터 디자인: 이재민 ◆ 2026년 7월 3일 - 2026년 7월 19일◆ 서울시 용산구 녹사평대로 40나길 34, 2층·4층 ◆ Tue - Sun, 12 - 7 PM (Monday Closed) ◆ 070-4900-0104 -On July 3, Handlewithcare presents a group exhibition featuring twenty members of Beopgochangsin, one of the most influential collectives in contemporary Korean ceramics. For many years, Beopgochangsin has brought together ceramic artists who explore how the legacy of traditional Korean pottery can find meaningful expression in contemporary life. For this exhibition, the twenty participating artists gather around a shared theme: soolsang, a Korean-style drinking spread. Throughout the history of Korean ceramics, vessels for drinking have served as a meeting point between daily life and artistic expression. From the refined ewers of Goryeo celadon to the unpretentious bottles of Joseon buncheong ware, the culture of sharing a drink has long inspired some of the finest ceramic works of each era. Whether at formal gatherings or a casual table shared among friends, the Soolsang has always held the atmosphere and spirit of the occasion. This exhibition brings together twenty ceramic artists working across a wide range of traditions, including buncheong, white porcelain, celadon, blackware, and unglazed earthenware. Through their distinct materials, techniques, and perspectives, each artist presents a personal vision of the Soolsang. We hope that this gathering of diverse works will become a convivial table of its own, inviting visitors to share in the richness, warmth, and pleasure of Korean ceramic culture. BeopgochangsinBeopgochangsin (法古創新), meaning “learning from the old to create the new,” is a collective of Korean ceramic artists dedicated to exploring the contemporary continuation and development of traditional Korean ceramics. Participating artists include Kang Yeongjun, Kim Kyungnam, Kim Kyungsu, Kim Kyutae, Kim Sangman, Kim Jinkyu, Park Songkuk, Park Sungwook, Woo Sihyeong, Yoon Hojun, Lee Dongsik, Lee Kanghyo, Lee Songam, Lee Eunbum, Lee Jeongyong, Lee Jeonghyun, Lee Changhwa, Jeong Youngyu, Jung Jaehyo, Jeong Hyunwoo, and Huh Sangwook.
